UPDATE 1-HTC fourth-quarter profit below expectations

TAIPEI, Jan 6 (Reuters) - Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC reported a worse than expected net fourth-quarter profit on Sunday, despite aggressive cost cutting and a one-time gain.
